Ready, set . . . park: Drive-in soccer

The human race is finding unique ways to live life during and even after social distancing.

One such way is drive-in soccer.

Danish soccer fans are in for a treat after social distancing. According to The Guardian, the Danish soccer club FC Midtjylland has announced plans to provide fans with the opportunity to watch the games on giant screens that will be erected in the parking lot of their soccer stadium. This would allow 2,000 cars to be in the parking lot and depending on how many people are in the cars, about 10,000 fans could participate.

“If the venture is a success, then more car parking spaces could be opened up, and the club could apply for inclusion in the Guinness Book of World Records,” FC Midtjylland’s Preben Rokkjær told a Danish newspaper.

While this is not the ideal way to enjoy a soccer match, drive-in soccer may be the safest and best way to do so while slowly coming out of social distancing.
