What have been the biggest challenges for you coming from high school to college ball?

The biggest challenge from high school to college ball so far is being able to constantly balance the increased difficulty of the academics with baseball.

What made you choose Asbury to play baseball?

I chose Asbury because it was the perfect match for me, not only baseball-wise but also for my goal of being a youth minister one day.

Was it intimidating joining up with a new team, how have you settled in?

I thought it would be intimidating coming in but Coach Cervantes and all the guys made us freshmen feel like part of the team from day one.

You’re part of a large group of freshmen that joined the team, what has Coach Cervantes said he expects from you all?

Coach expects us to be leaders on and off the field even if we are just freshmen. He expects us do everything to the best of our ability.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received from some of the older players on the team?

I can’t think of a specific word or advice from the older players but there are a few guys that have not only helped me with baseball but also with my relationship with Christ and life in general.

At the end of the season in May, what do you hope to have accomplished?

I hope, of course, to have a great freshmen season but more importantly for the team as a whole to have a winning season.
