Now in the final full month of the semester, many of Asbury’s Athletics programs are turning the page on their fall 2025 campaigns. Here are the happenings for the first week of November.
Men’s Basketball
The Asbury men’s basketball team is set to come onto the scene on Nov. 7, in their opening game of the season against Centre College.
At home, the Eagles will look to kick their season off in winning fashion against a familiar in-state opponent before hitting the road the following Tuesday, Nov. 11, for a bout with Berea College. Come out and support the team’s first game Friday at 7 p.m.!
Women’s Soccer
At 9-6-3 (4-3-1) the Asbury women’s soccer team are looking to wrap up their season on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Championship.
The highest seed, which is yet to be determined, will host the conference competition in the first weekend of the new month. The Eagles will look to wrap up what has been a solid, above .500 season competing in an unusually tough conference landscape. Their “head above water” record in the CCS speaks specifically to the team’s resilience, which will surely go a long way in the tournament.
Swimming
On Nov. 7 and Nov. 8, the men’s and women’s swimming teams will compete in a weekend double-header away from home. The former of which will take place at the University of the Cumberlands, with the latter being against Lindsey Wilson College.
The swimming program has the unique benefit of having started their season later than most, meaning these two contests are simply further opportunities for either respective team to find their footing early on in each campaign. After the stacked weekend, the teams can look forward to a near-two week break before returning to competition in late November.
Volleyball
In similar fashion to the women’s soccer team, the volleyball squad will begin to close out their season with the start of the CCS Tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 11. While the conference bouts will serve as a sizable test for a team that has built an 18-7 (13-1) record on the back of one of the most impressive runs in the conference, the team will have a chance to compete in the NCAA Regionals on an even larger stage thereafter.
It’s been a storied season for Eagles volleyball, and now more than ever, the team has a chance to tie a bow on the whole affair.
