Asbury’s Spring Preview for prospective students

As this spring semester continues on in full swing, Asbury University presents its spring preview events, which will be held this coming March 21-22.

This two-day event will allow prospective students to get a taste of what life is like on Asbury’s campus. Students will be permitted to attend in-person classes, speak to professors and talk with current students.

“Asbury’s preview events aim to give prospective students a glimpse into what campus life is like,” said Camille Sigrist, coordinator for campus visits and events and an employee in the office of undergraduate admissions. “We do our best to include certain items in the schedule that accurately reflect a ‘day in the life’ of an Asbury student such as attending classes, Chapel, eating in the Dining Hall and staying overnight on-campus.”

While Asbury has a large focus on academics and spirituality, spring preview also offers additional ways of connections for incoming students.

“The preview days also give our students opportunities to connect with coaches and professors,” said Sigrist. “Many Gen-Z students are career-driven and already know what they want to do after college, so getting to talk with a professor at one of these events is a great way for them to learn about different internship and job opportunities they could have while at Asbury and afterward.”

At the heart of this event lies the love and need for community. Spring preview at Asbury provides a chance for prospective students to encounter that for themselves.

“Preview days give students a chance to experience the Asbury community,” concluded Sigrist. “If you see any prospective students and their families throughout the day, please feel free to say hello and make them feel at home here on campus.”
