“Trees are oxygen and I have asthma.”

Codey Phillips, Freshman

“I mean, it makes campus less pretty. I used to do homework outside a lot and it’s great to find a nice tree to sit under.”

“I am really angry that they cut the trees down. The tree next to the student center was like my favorite tree on campus. I feel betrayed.”

Lisa Humason, Junior

“I don’t like it. When I come back for reunion I feel like there won’t be any trees on campus. Whenever we’re on break they’re like, ‘Oh good. Students aren’t here, so we can cut down the trees now.’ There won’t be any trees left in 10 years.”

David Keener, Sophomore
