Cross Country team brings home trophy from Midway Invitational

Both the men and women’s cross country teams impressed when they traveled to Midway, Ky. to take part in the Midway College Invitational.

On the women’s team, the team took first place and sophomore Katy Falkenberg was the fastest in the pack with her final time of 19:45.65 in the 5k. Five other Asbury runners placed in the top 5: senior Justine Vonderheide (3), junior Kim Miller (5), freshmen Sabrina Salvacion (7) and Erin Garmany (8), senior Christina Williams (9) and sophomore Carlie Core (10).

The men had a strong showing as well, earning a third place finish. Senior Taylor Diehl was the fastest Eagle and finished seventh. Sophomore teammate Caleb Woodard was ninth.
