Asbury Student Congress will hold its annual ping pong tournament on April 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. on the map side of the Radar Student Center.
The ping pong tournament is a tradition for the campus and an annual event held by the student congress.
“It is a very highly attended event that a lot of students look forward to and love to participate in, so it’s a great way to engage with students and have fun,” said ASC Publicist Julianne Knox.
While the form to participate has already been sent out, students will have until Mar. 30 to enter the tournament. Once the student government has all of the participants, they will have the bracket and display it on a whiteboard for the game. They will go through the bracket until they have winners for both the A and B leagues.
There will be prizes awarded to first and second place winners for both winners. For students who want to be part of the event but choose not to participate in the tournament, ASC will provide Taco Bell for everyone.
“I think ASC events are great for the campus community; it brings students from all majors, sports teams and interests together for fellowship,” said Athletic Senator Abby Moffat. “Something like a ping pong tournament will encourage fun, competitive spirit and will certainly be a big hit among all students.”
Whether students are interested in competing in the ping pong tournament or in attending to support their friends, they can go to the STUCE on April 1 to come out and watch.
