Asbury to host Winter Preview

Asbury’s winter preview for prospective students will take place on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. and will last until Nov. 14 at 5 p.m.

The event gives both high schoolers and transfer students the opportunity to see the community at Asbury and observe student life. The prospective students will have scheduled activities such as ice cream socials, sitting in on classes and touring the university. In addition, parents can attend financial aid sessions and chapel.

“These events allow students to not only do a group visit, in a sense, but it also opens their eyes to what a personalized visit could look like,” explained Visit Specialist Eswin Monroy.

For senior high school students or transfers, there are opportunities to experience dorm life firsthand. Students at Asbury have the chance to host the prospective students and give them an inside look at life on campus. Students who are interested in hosting in the future, can contact admissions@asbury.edu for more information.

“I think the biggest thing that I can hope for the students to leave Asbury with is the desire to come back and experience Asbury’s community at a whole different level,” said Monroy. “A lot of people sometimes don’t know where they want to go, [but] if we can make them feel like they’re at home away from home, then this is the place for them.”

The preview is free to attend. Students on campus are encouraged to engage with prospective students throughout the event. For more information on similar events and campus tours, visit asbury.edu/admissions-aid.
