It is once again time for the families of Asbury students to join us for Family Weekend. During Family Weekend, families have the chance to tour campus, experience chapel, attend athletic events and music concerts, as well as other fun activities.
Family Weekend began on Oct. 2 with Fall Preview check-in, followed by the Creative Night of Worship.
The event continues today as families are invited to attend chapel in Hughes Auditorium with speaker Lo Alaman, a preacher, writer and spoken word poet. Friday also features campus tours and the opportunity to meet faculty from each academic department. The evening will conclude with a band and orchestra concert in Jameson Recital Hall, followed by a family game night in the Luce Auditorium.
On Saturday, families can enjoy the Ensemble Concert and reception, OMS International Pizza Fest, cheer on the baseball alumni game and women’s soccer senior day. Additionally, families will have the opportunity to attend the World Gospel Mission Goat Roast, complete with food, live music and games. The Wilmore Arts & Crafts Festival will also run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Wilmore, offering a wide selection of local art, handcrafted items, music and food.
The Eagle Outlet and HICCUP coffee shop will also be open with extended hours to serve students and their families throughout the weekend.
