With mere weeks remaining in the fall 2025 semester, Asbury Athletics is preparing to push on through the academic Christmas break across the board. Here’s the latest on every active team over the coming weekend:
Women’s Basketball
Despite their current 0-2 start to the season, the Asbury women’s basketball team has plenty of time to spark a turnaround as the season of giving approaches.
On Friday, Nov. 21 and Sunday, Nov. 23, the Eagles will play a double-header in Danville, KY against Berry College and Centre College, respectively. With the close proximity to their home floor, the purple and white should benefit from traveling fans and early-season momentum alike as they look to notch their first win.
Swimming
In similar fashion to women’s hoops, men’s and women’s swimming will travel to Danville, KY, to compete in the Center Midseason Championships between Nov. 21 and 23.
At 2-4 and 4-2 respectively, both teams’ records hovering around the .500 mark leaves the door open for plenty of separation in either direction. A win may go a further distance at this point for the men’s bunch, but the women tacking another victory onto their already solid total would mean more comfortability for that bunch all the same.
Volleyball
In winning the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Championship and improving their overall record to 22-7, Asbury’s volleyball team capped off a truly legendary season turnaround with a high-level conference achievement.
Now, all that’s for the team to compete in is the NCAA Regionals, which begin on Thursday, Nov. 20, and serve as the final test for an Eagles team that has dominated just about any team in their remotely recent wake.
