Wilmore’s 26th annual Arts and Crafts Festival will be held Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Wilmore and the adjacent downtown Green.
The Arts and Crafts Festival in Wilmore has been a staple for both the local community and businesses. Over the years the festival has grown in popularity, drawing its largest crowd in 2023 and gaining coverage on WKYT.
“Meet me at the tracks!” is this year’s theme with a variety of entertainment available for all ages. For children there will be pony rides, a magician’s show and the Caboose Trackside Museum. Other activities include performances from the rock, soul and funk horn band Power Play who will play hits from the 60s and 70s.
There will also be numerous crafts and goods to shop for. Some of these items include quality handcrafted fiber arts, photography, painting, pottery, jewelry, woodworking, crocheted items, baskets, wreaths, dog treats and more.
Notably, many of the local businesses downtown will be open for customers aside from vendors. Some of these shops include Granny’s Attic, Cakes by Bebe and Shades of Bluegrass.
“We have people coming in from different towns, different areas and [festival organizers have] built a really good reputation,” explained Tammy Goble, owner of Shades of Bluegrass. “So, people will come from different areas, they’ll find your shop and then they become customers.”
Along with shopping and planned activities, food trucks and other local food vendors will be in attendance.
Whether you are in need of a nice mug, a sweet treat or something fun to do with your friends, the Wilmore Arts and Crafts Festival is open for everyone to attend Oct. 4.
