As the fall semester comes midway into its first full month, Asbury’s Kinlaw Library is planning to host its annual book sale this month during the week of Sept. 15-20.
“Kinlaw holds the annual book sale every year around September,” Beth Groves, Director of Library Services, told the Collegian. “In order to stay up-to-date on current resources, we like to occasionally go through and sell the resources we have. If it’s older, or at one time we needed three copies of it and now we only need one, we can remove some copies from our collection.”
Paperback books at the sale will be available for $1, while hardback books will be $2. The sale will be held in the Kinlaw Library lobby.
The library is also planning to release a tote bag for students to buy later this year. “Students who buy books this year will get to choose which [design] they like for which tote bag we produce for the year,” Groves said “We sell them back to the community for people who want a totebag that represents Kinlaw Library, because who doesn’t love a good totebag.”
The sale will last the full week from Monday to Saturday during Kinlaw’s hours of 7:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 7:30-5 on Friday, and 10-5 on Saturday. Students who are interested can contact Groves or Shelby Lynkins at their Asbury emails for more information.
