The final Asbury Athletics update of the semester

We’ve officially arrived at the last weekend of the semester. Although not all athletics will cease once the semester ends, the events this weekend still feel like special occasions, wherein most students will still be around to get out and support the purple and white. Thankfully, in addition to a bevy of road bouts, Asbury will get to send off the Spring ’25 semester with multiple sports outings at home as well.

Baseball

Asbury baseball (7-24) will look to stack a trio of wins over the weekend in Lookout Mountain, Ga., in a road series against Covenant College. The triple-header will begin on Friday, April 25, and continue over the weekend.

Softball

At 18-12, Asbury’s softball squad has put together an impressive resume of wins throughout the Spring semester, with their next opportunity to add to that tally coming in the form of a two-game series at Kentucky State University on Friday. They’ll travel back to Wilmore the next day for another two games at home against LaGrange College. It’ll be a busy weekend for the Eagles, but with four potential wins on deck, the team will try to take advantage of such a rare opportunity.

Tennis

Men’s and women’s tennis will face off in the Collegiate Conference of the South tournament in Chattanooga, Tenn., beginning on Thursday, April 24 and going through Saturday, April 26. This competition is the last for both teams before they gear up for the NCAA Championships in early May.
