Baseball
Asbury Baseball (5-16, 1-8) will look to bounce back from a tough start to this season with a weekend series at home against Hiram College. The team has struggled to take advantage of their home field so far this year, but three straight games of the sort provides as good an opportunity as any to change that.
Softball
Less fortunately than the baseball squad, the softball team will travel on Saturday, April 12, for a two-game series at Sewanee in Sewanee, Tenn. At 14-10 (5-5), the team has already found their footing at this point in the season, although they’d certainly enjoy some extra separation, especially in the conference margin. The Eagles will work to overcome an opposing crowd for a string of big wins.
Golf
In their second to last outing of the year, the golf team will compete in a two-day event, beginning Saturday, in Edinburgh, Ind. The match is listed as a road competition at Spalding University.
Tennis
Both the men’s and women’s tennis teams have an especially busy weekend, beginning with a road match on Friday, April 11, at Covenant College (Ga.) Then, they’ll both travel back to the bluegrass state for a match at Transylvania University. Thankfully, following the road trip, both units will benefit from five days off before their next competition.
Track and Field
Men’s and women’s track and field will compete at home in the Asbury Invitational on Friday, marking their second to last meet before tournament play begins and the season comes to a close at the end of May.
