Major: Youth Ministry and History

Branch: Student Governance

Committee/role: Anchored Class Secretary

What is the importance of your committee/role?

The class cabinet is a representative of the class as a whole. We are in charge of planning events with different classes, presenting a senior class gift and voicing the concerns and views of our class to the larger student congressional body. While my job as secretary is more of a behind the scenes job, I take my position of leadership seriously since I am one in a group of many who are representing the senior class.

What has been the best moment you’ve experienced while being involved with them?

I have enjoyed class cabinet meetings because it has allowed me the opportunity to get to know my fellow classmates better and to see how much they love Asbury and want the best for not only the rest of the seniors but each of the classes.

What do you want other students on campus to know about your committee/branch?

I want other students to know how much the senior class cares about investing in the lives of each of the classes. We want to impact and better the lives of the other students during our last year here. Whether that impact is through planning events with the Visionary Class in order to get to know them better, or through the careful decision making process of picking out a class gift that will exist for future Asburians to enjoy, we are conscious of our influence and the great responsibility we have as seniors. We hope that we lead our class well and that, most importantly, we leave a larger impact through our witness as faithful followers of Christ, anchored in His steadfast hope and love.
