In a recent recap of the meet against Lindsey Wilson, Coach Keyser stated, “This is one of the hardest points of the season. The team is tired, fatigued, and stressed with thinking about the semester coming to a close.” How does facing the end of the season affect your performance in practice and meets?

It is tough when finals are approaching and we have meets coming up as well, but thanks to Coach Keyser, we are well trained and prepared for this time of the season.

What goals do you have for yourself for the remainder of the season?

I would like to go 49 seconds in the 100 yard fly and 45 seconds in the 100 yard free, and hopefully make it back to Nationals in those events, as well as the 50 free.

How does this season compare to last season for you?

We have a bigger team this season, which is awesome. It brings more energy to meets and practices, and it’s fun getting to know the new swimmers.

What are your favorite events and strokes?

My favorite stroke is the Butterfly, and my favorite event is the 400 freestyle relay. because it’s a lot of fun getting to race together with my teammates.

When do you feel most accomplished?

I feel most accomplished during a meet when we are down in points and the team rallies for a comeback. It’s amazing to see how the team can come together for relays and really show what AU is made of.

Do you have any future plans regarding your major and/or swimming (coaching)?

In the near future I’d love to work on sound production for video games, hopefully for developers like Naughty Dog, Ubisoft, or DICE. After my tour this summer with Zedd and One Direction this summer, that is.
