Two Asbury athletes were selected for the Capital One Academic All-District Team from the College Division. Senior defender Stephen Mitchell was selected from the men’s soccer team. Mitchell has started every game at the heart of the Eagle’s back line this season. Senior forward Meredith Ury was selected from the women’s soccer team and has scored 11 goals in 12 games, including a hat trick against Brescia in October.
Mitchell and Ury will be on the ballot for the Academic All-American team when the College Sports Information Directors of American meet to vote. The Academic All-American team will be announced on November 21.
